THEATRE TUSCALOOSA OPENS SEASON WITH A CHILLING AND HILARIOUS WHODUNIT

TUSCALOOSA, AL – Theatre Tuscaloosa opens its 2026-27 season with “Clue” September 25- October 4 in the Bean-Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College (9500 Old Greensboro Road).
This mysterious comedy features Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and the other classic board game murder suspects based on both the Hasbro classic and the motion picture. At an unusual dinner party, an assortment of deadly weapons find their way into the hands of the guests. When the host turns up dead, the group must search for clues to uncover who amongst them is responsible.
The cast includes returning Theatre Tuscaloosa performers Jennifer Canterbury, Margaret Carr, Joshua DeBell, Casey Kauffman, DeAnthony Mays, David Parker, Emily Seale, and Steven Yates. They are joined by All-Star Cast members Kim Palm, Cooper Shattuck, and Dr. John Walker.
Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Executive Producer, Michael Walker leads this production as director. He is joined by Ashlyn Lambert, stage manager; Therrin Eber, scenic designer; Lyndell McDonald, lighting designer; Molly Page, fight choreographer; and Jeanette Waterman, costume designer.
“Clue is so funny, exciting, and mysterious, and we have assembled an amazing team both on stage and behind the scenes to make this show an incredible experience,” said Walker. “Plus for the first time ever, we are using body microphones on our actors to ensure that audience members hear every hilarious line!”
Performance dates are as follows: Friday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday and Wednesday Sept. 27 and 30 at 2 p.m.; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Oct. 1 - 3 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday Oct. 3 - 4 at 2 p.m. A pay-what-you-can performance will be presented on Thursday Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. “Clue” will be presented in the Bean-Brown Theatre at the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College.
Tickets for “Clue” go on sale to the public August 25. Prices are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors, members of the military, and Shelton State Community College (SSCC) Employees, $18 for students, children, and groups of 10 or more, and $11 for SSCC students. This play is appropriate for ages 12 and older.
