Theatre Department

Shelton State Community College offers an accredited Associate in Arts Degree with an emphasis in Theatre (drama). The program, directed by Tina Turley, requires a minimum of 21 semester hours of theatre courses such as Acting Techniques I and II, Stage Movement, Voice and Speech for the Performer, and Theatre Workshop.

Shelton State Community College’s theatre department works in partnership with Theatre Tuscaloosa to provide volunteer, work-study, and “hands-on” technical and performance opportunities.  Tina F. Turley, Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Executive Producer, oversees and directs this partnership.
