“CLUE” AUDITIONS SCHEDULED FOR JULY 27 AND 28

TUSCALOOSA, AL – Theatre Tuscaloosa will hold open auditions for “Clue” by Sandy Rustin, July 27 and 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wilson Carr Rehearsal Hall on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College (9500 Old Greensboro Road).
This mysterious comedy features Colonel Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and the other classic board game murder suspects based on both the Hasbro classic and the motion picture. At an unusual dinner party, an assortment of deadly weapons find their way into the hands of the guests. When the host turns up dead, the group must search for clues to uncover who amongst them is responsible.
Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Executive Producer, Michael Walker leads this production as director. He is joined by Ashlyn Lambert, stage manager; Therrin Eber, scenic designer; Lyndell McDonald, lighting designer; Molly Page, fight choreographer; and Jeanette Waterman, costume designer.
“Clue” has various roles available including the following: Wadsworth (male, 30-60s), Yvette (female, 20s-30s), Colonel Mustard (male, 40s-60s), Mrs. White (male, 45-60s), Mrs. Peacock (female, 40-60s), Mr. Green (male 30-40s), Miss Scarlet (female, 20-50), Professor Plum (male, 40-60s), Female Ensemble 1 (female, 25-40), Male Ensemble 1 (male, 25-40), and Male Ensemble 2 (male, 25-40). Ensemble actors will play multiple roles and may cover principal roles. A full list of characters and their descriptions can be found at theatretusc.com/clue.
Those who want to audition should come prepared to read from all of the audition sides located at www.theatretusc.com/clue. A physical copy of the sides will be available at the audition. Memorization of the sides is not required. There may also be improvised movement and acting. Actors are encouraged to dress accordingly.

Scripts of “Clue” are available to read in the Theatre Tuscaloosa Management Office in advance (recommended); however, scripts may not leave the premises. The office is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon.
The final rehearsal schedule will be announced after casting. Rehearsals will generally run 6-9 p.m. Monday through Friday until closer to performance weeks. No conflicts will be accepted for dates after September 5, 2026. “Clue” performances run Sept. 25 - October 4, 2026 in the Bean-Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College.
