Home for the Holidays running December 11-20, 2026 in the Bean-Brown Theatre.

TUSCALOOSA, AL – Theatre Tuscaloosa welcomes the holiday season with “Home for the Holidays,” an original musical comedy by Michael Walker and Josh Levine, running Dec. 11 - 20 in the Bean-Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College (9500 Old Greensboro Road).

Based in Tuscaloosa in the 1940s, this musical comedy features a team of radio broadcasters that must keep the show going despite an unexpected snow storm, missing cast members, and a continuously changing script. This world-premiere, family-friendly holiday celebration features familiar songs like "Sleigh Ride,” “Jingle Bells,” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas!”

The cast includes returning Theatre Tuscaloosa actors Nate Blakley, Layla Khan-Hickman, Molly Page, NorQuina “Q” Rieves, and Tina Turley. New to Theatre Tuscaloosa are performers Alexandra Borchardt, Mahana Carnethon, Morgan Gaudet, Anabelle Webber, Justin Williams, and Jesse Wheeler. They are joined by All-Star Cast members Charles Prosser and Ernie Turley.

“Writing this show with my friend Josh has been such a rewarding process,” Director and Executive Producer Michael Walker said. “It’s a real joy to bring it to life with this incredibly talented cast. There’s something special about working on a holiday show. The spirit of the season has found its way into the rehearsal room, and we hope that joy carries over to the audience."

Walker leads this production as director. He is joined by Ashlyn Lambert, stage manager; Nicholas Vasilios Pappas, vocal music director; Osiris Molina, orchestra music director; Eli Pugh, orchestrator; Cole Cabiness, choreographer; Therrin Eber, scenic designer; Alex Thomas, lighting designer; Jeanette Waterman, costume designer; Wheeler Kincaid, technical director; Chloe Canterbury and Sophie Townsend, assistant stage managers; and Audrey Ragan Thompson, assistant choreographer.

Performance dates are as follows: Friday and Saturday, Dec. 11- 12 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday and Wednesday Dec. 13 and 16 at 2 p.m.; Thursday and Friday Dec. 17 - 18 at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday Dec. 19 - 20 at 2 p.m. A pay-what-you-can preview performance will be presented on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. “Home for the Holidays” will be presented in the Bean-Brown Theatre at the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College.
