About the Course

Over eight weeks, participants gain experience in core concepts like advanced yes, and, active listening, object work, character development, and creating a strong emotional connection with a scene partner. This class provides a supportive and low-pressure environment where students practice freeing their minds from self-judgment and developing the crucial ability to commit to their choices.

NOTE: Class will not meet on Tuesday, October 13, due to the Worlds of Work event at Shelton State.

Two Loose Improv

Two Loose Improv

Elijah Crocker is a recent transplant from Rochester, New York. He's done everything from high school improv to performing as a house team member at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (UCB) in NYC. As a seasoned improv teacher and a new member of the Tuscaloosa community, he is excited to share his love for long form improv, from the values the art form encourages to the opportunities it brings to be silly and let loose! Maybe even TOO LOOSE!

Blane Burroughs is a Tuscaloosa native and one half of the improv team “Two Loose.” He has trained with UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) and Faraway Theater in Birmingham since it opened. Blane fills any role that a scene needs, always aiming to keep his finger on the pulse of funny. He is excited to see the Tuscaloosa improv scene grow!
