Virtual Season

We will be continuing our 2020-21 Spreading Joy Season with a series of virtual presentations, including recordings of some of the our greatest hits as well as new, live-remote performances. Thanks to streaming video rights becoming available as a response to the global pandemic, we are now able to bring the magic of theatre right into your living room by opening our archival vaults and sharing these recordings safely with our patrons.

The streaming rights to more shows are being announced every day, and we are continually creating new ideas and opportunities, so be sure to keep an eye out for more possible titles to be announced in the future until we can gather safely again.

How Does it Work?

Our streaming video partner is You can purchase a “virtual ticket” for $8 per device (plus the ShowTix4U "ticketing" fees) that will allow you to view each virtual event. These events are offered in one or more of the following formats:

  • Scheduled Content: This includes recorded shows that are offered only at a specific date and time, like the "Premiere Events" for each of our past productions. Scheduled content provides the added benefit of an optional live chat in which all viewers can participate during the show.
  • On-Demand Content: This includes recorded shows that can be accessed anytime within the listed viewing window. Once on-demand content is accessed the first time, viewers have up to 48 hours to finish watching the rented video, or until 11:45 p.m. on the last day of the viewing window, whichever comes first.
  • Live-Streamed Content: This includes shows that are being performed and streamed live and must be viewed on a specific date and time. Viewers purchase access to one specific performance date and time and must watch live, just like an in-person performance.

Patrons who support the Spreading Joy fundraising campaign are entitled to one complimentary stream per production (just pay the ticketing fees). You can watch our virtual season events on your computer, or click here to learn how to view them on your smart TV.
