Theatre Tuscaloosa is sending its award-winning cast and crew to Louisville, KY, to represent Alabama in the national American Association of Community Theatre Festival (AACTFest) June 12-17, 2023. Our world-premiere production of Launch Day (Love Stories from the Year 2108) by Michael Higgins is among the best 12 productions in the country being featured in the festival, and you can help us get there! Theatre Tuscaloosa’s production was named “Best Production” in the AACTFest Region IV Festival that was held at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center in Lexington, KY, March 1-5, 2023, as part of the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC).

Making the trek to Louisville are Tina Turley, Adam Miller, Ashlyn Lambert, Jeanette Waterman, NorQuina Reeves, DeAnthony Mays, Jessica Briana Kelly, Kazarious Brown, Mileidy Crespo-Jones, Gabriel Carden, Margaret Carr, Ebony Wesley, Amaria Jackson, Sam Hodo, Brandy Johnson, Hallie Grace, and Steven Yates.

To defray the cost of the trip, which includes transportation of the set and equipment, cast and crew, festival fees, meals, and accommodations, Theatre Tuscaloosa will present an encore performance of the competition version of Launch Day at the Bama Theatre - ONE NIGHT ONLY - on June 12th.
