What is "Lights, Camera, Auction!"?
Lights, Camera, Auction! is an online auction that we host annually. It often features dozens of items such as props and signed posters from our past productions, handmade crafts by local artists, luxurious jewelry, fabulous experiences, and much more.
Why participate in the auction?
All proceeds of the auction will benefit the artistic mission of Theatre Tuscaloosa: to provide quality theatrical experiences to the people of West Alabama on stage, behind the scenes, in the audience, and in the classroom.
Your service or item will be shared to our more than 4,000 Facebook followers and promoted to more than 6,000 e-mail newsletter subscribers. That's a lot of folks seeing your products and your commitment to supporting Tuscaloosa's local non-profit arts scene!

How do I bid on items? After we have gathered items for the auction, we will post an alblum to our Facebook page with photos and descriptions of each item. We will announce a period of time, usually 3-4 days, in which we will accept bids. During that time, you may post your bid in the comments sections of the photo of the item you wish to bid on. At the end of the bidding period, whoever has the most recent/highest bid will win the item. We will contact winners via Facebook to notify them of the items they won, as well as how pick-up and payment options.
What kinds of payments do you take? Everything! Well, not bitcoin. But everything else! Cash, check, and all major credit cards are accepted.
How do I get my stuff once I've paid for it? Easy! You can stop by the Theatre Tuscaloosa ticket office to pick it up. For all smaller items, we can send them to you or someone of your choice (shipping is not included and must be paid separately).
Why should I bid on these items? Because they are amazing! But also because all proceeds go to help support all of the equally amazing productions and programming here at Theatre Tuscaloosa, including our regular season shows, specially priced school matinee performances, and workshops.
Can I bid if I don't have a Facebook account? We do allow proxy bids! Just find a friend or relative, or relative stranger, to post a bid on your behalf and have them message us with your contact information so that we can reach you if you win! You can also email us directly at email@example.com. Our Facebook page is public, so you will be able to view the album of items up for auction even if you don't have a Facebook account.
