About the Course
Discover the essentials of stagecraft in our six-week Acting Fundamentals workshop, tailored for community theatre performers aged 16 through adult. This dynamic, hands-on course explores the core techniques of acting, including character development, voice projection, and improvisation, within a supportive and collaborative environment. Whether you're new to the stage or looking to refine your skills, this workshop offers practical exercises and scene work to help you connect with your characters and engage your audience. Join us to build confidence, enhance your performance, and deepen your love for the art of acting.
Classes meet Mondays, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Oct. 28-Dec. 9 (no class on Nov. 11), for a total of six class meetings.

Molly Page (SSCC Theatre Program Coordinator) is back in Tuscaloosa after a decade creating art across the Southeast. She was previously onstage at Theatre Tuscaloosa in the early 2000s before obtaining her Masters in Theatre from Louisiana Tech. She is working to expand the theatre department at Shelton State through recruitment and actor training.
