A Little Night Music
Book by Hugh Wheeler
Based on Ingmar Bergman’s film
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
Oct. 3–12, 2008
Directed by Paul K. Looney
A Little Night Music delighted audiences 10 years ago in the inaugural season at the Bean-Brown Theatre. With its’ first word, “Remember?” we are invited to a past era of elegance and enchantment. Sondheim’s music is romantic and achingly beautiful in its exploration of love, in all its wondrous, humorous, and ironic permutations.
“A jeweled music box of a show; lovely to look at, delightful to listen to.” - Time Magazine

Charlie overhears more than he should, leading to a wildly funny climax in which things go uproariously awry for the “bad guys,” and the “good guys” emerge triumphant.
